Feature:

Wednesday Pisa is designed to identify Corynebacterium on the test cleavage of cystine.

The drug is a fine, hygroscopic, light-sensitive powder of light yellow color.

Ingredients:

Pancreatic digest of casein, yeast extract, maltose, sodium chloride, bismuth citrate, cysteine, 8-hydroxyquinoline sulfate (hinozol), sodium carbonate agar.

Preparation:

Drug in an amount necessary for the preparation of a series of specific nutrient medium in a stirred 1 liter of distilled water, boiled for 3 min until complete melting of the agar. Wednesday is not sterilized! The medium was dispensed with constant stirring to 4 ml sterile tubes aseptically.

Prepared medium light yellow color. Allowed to sediment at the bottom of the tube and a small opalescence.

pH 7,7 ± 0,2

The finished medium can be used within 10 days when stored it at 2-8 ° C.
