Sulfarsazen (plyumbon) - Complexometric indicator that is used for the spectrophotometric and titrimetric determination of Pb2 + ions at pH 9,8-10 and Zn2 + at pH 9,3-9,6 (color change from orange-pink to lemon-yellow). Used as well as the trisodium salt in pure form is a red-brown crystals. Soluble in water, readily soluble in an aqueous solution of sodium tetraborate, slightly soluble in 95% ethanol, practically insoluble in acetone, chloroform, benzene.

Purpose:

A reagent for the photometric determination of Pb (II), Zn, Cd, Hg (II) at pH 9,0-10,5; metallochromic indicator for the titrimetric determination of Pb at pH 9,8-10, Zn at pH 9,3-9,6 (color change from orange-pink to lemon-yellow).
